In mid June, GEAR Campaign representatives will present a petition to “Make the United Nations more effective in realizing women’s rights” to the United Nations President of the General Assembly, H.E. Dr. Ali Abdussalam Treki. If you have not already signed on, please do so before June 10th when the petition will close. Also, please disseminate widely to your networks and constituencies.

Thank you to all the women and girls who attended on April 17th. We gathered together to inspire and be inspired by each other’s stories and experiences. We hope you continue to find the “warrior woman” inside you as you go through your days.

From this summit, we will produce a report that will include your assessment and outcomes of the 12 critical areas. The report will be made available to you and presented to our policy makers, NGOs and others who work toward gender equality for all.
