Young Women's Facilitators

Adult Women’s Breakout Sessions: Participants choose an area within the 12 critical areas of concern from the Platform for Action.  The 12 areas are paired up to create 6 areas of concern:

Education:

  • Connie Chow, Executive Director, Science Club for Girls
  • Susan Webber, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Pine Manor College

Institutional Mechanism & Power Sharing:

  • Rev. Cheng Imm Tan, Executive Director, City of Boston, Office of New Bostonians
  • Marta Rosa, Director of Government Affairs, Wheelock College

Girl-Child & Media:

  • Michelle Harrington, Executive Director, Strong Women Strong Girls
  • Kimberly Zouzoua, Director of Diversity and Community Collaborations, Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts

Violence & Armed Conflicts:

  • Sayre Sheldon, Co-Founder, WAND
  • Brenda Lett, Former President of Manchester NAACP

Health & Environment:

  • Elisa Choi, Physician, Harvard Medical School; Board, MAP for Health
  • Leah Hart Tennen, MPH, CHES, LICSW, Manager of Group Mentoring, Big Sister Association of Greater Boston

Poverty & Economy:

  • Phyllis Killam-Abell, UNH former Commissioner of CSW
  • Marie Turley, Executive Director, City of Boston, Women’s Commission
  • Debra Cooper, Senior Field Coordinator, Policy and Advocacy CARE
